1. red. technically, red was one of the first "carriers" of the zombie gene. he was bitten when he was nine years old, but he was bitten too lightly to actually be affected by it. he was bitten on halloween, hence the remains of a vampire costume. the zombie venom didn't actually start to affect him negatively until he was about twenty-one or twenty-two.

2. blue. the same day blue became a zombie -- or perhaps the day after...i haven't decided yet -- skittles told him not to wander off and to stay close to her. as a new zombie, blue was in a state of constant hunger, and he couldn't use his new abilities very well, which could lead to killing others without even meaning to. of course, blue thought he could handle it, and he went to visit pink, telling her he had become a zombie and that she should become one too so they can live together as zombies. when pink refused, he tried to convince her, which resulted in him grabbing and shaking her. eventually, he gets frustrated and accidentally kills her -- think lennie from of mice and men. when skittles and red find him, he's leaning over her body and sobbing.

3. lord tourettes. oh, no, lord tourettes. he became a zombie several months after red and blue disappeared and broseph began the anti-zombie movement. for a while, broseph would waltz into his house uninvited, helping him barricade against zombie attacks, stock up food, and everything else he would need to do in case of a zombie apocalypse. however, broseph would also pester him into answering questions about red and blue, most likely in order to better guess their whereabouts and to kill them. all of this made lord tourettes very insecure, paranoid, and terrified of zombies. when red and blue stormed into his house and found him, red's first instinct was to say hello to him and ask him what's up. naturally, lord tourettes was frightened out of his mind at this point, but was too scared to move and do anything about the two zombies that had just stepped into his house.

4. skittles. she was bitten by a very experienced zombie who "weakened" her first by shooting her in the leg. he examined her body to see if it was worth it to kill her, but didn't find her satisfactory. so he just bit her in the arm, taking a chunk of flesh off as he did, and ran off. for a moment, skittles couldn't move. she just watched her attacker escape, tears welling in her eyes from the pain.

5. rachel. rachel spent several months becoming friends with the zombies before she became one herself. however, she did not become one because she wanted to. she had considered it for a while, but she wasn't sure if she was ready. one evening when the zombies crashed at her house, she finally confessed that she loved blue, and took another step and tried to kiss him. he pushed her away, saying "we can't," because his teeth would cut her and he didn't want to hurt her. he left early that night, leaving her confused and heartbroken. the next day, blue didn't come back. red and skittles left to go hunting, which wasn't a very good decision on their part -- they left rachel alone with a rather neurotic, new zombie lord tourettes. lord tourettes had been developing a crush on rachel, but when he tried to tell her, he remembered how she felt for blue -- or perhaps she told him, i haven't figured this out quite yet -- and started to panic. he pretty much attacked her and bit her. when red, skittles, and blue came home and found her, they freaked out. skittles restrained lord tourettes and punished him severely, despite his constant apologizing and sobbing. blue stayed by rachel's side while she became a zombie, trying to tell her it was okay, that she could endure the pain, and that he loved her. learning that blue loved her was the only thing that kept rachel alive through the next few weeks.

6. chloe. a few weeks after chloe became a zombie, skittles and the others learned she was a bit of a dreamer. she tended to wander off from the pack, but never to kill or to hunt -- merely to stare at the trees or hum to herself. this is how broseph found her and kidnapped her -- a confused, frightened new zombie, at broseph's mercy. however, all he could do before the other zombies came and rescued her was to force some information out of her. as a new zombie, chloe knew next to nothing about the pack, so it didn't matter anyway. basically, she just spent several hours locked up and handcuffed. however, those few hours were very traumatizing for her, and they were what made her realize that broseph was most definitely a threat.

7. lavender. on a chilly autumn afternoon, lavender was at a local tennis court, rallying the ball against a brick wall, when a pack of zombies found her and dragged her into the woods. when red heard her screams, he came to her aid, fighting off the other zombies before they could eat or kill her. however, they had already bitten her, so her transformation into a zombie was inevitable. there was nothing red could do but bring her back to the rest of the pack, where they learned they would have to take care of her to the best of their ability.

8. broseph. not much to be said here. the whole reason he hates zombies so much is because skittles ransacked his house in her early months of zombiedom. she was clumsy and awkward, and when she tried to steal food from him, he saw her and attacked her. in order to fight him off, she slashed across his face with her claws, which left scars. he still has these scars, and they serve as a cruel reminder that the war between zombies and humans will never end. in fact, in an ironic twist, broseph is actually half-zombie -- he was infected from skittles's claws touching his face. so the war against zombies is not only broseph vs. skittles -- it's also broseph vs. himself, coming to terms with his zombie side and trying to accept his flaws.
